Opinion: An embarrassment of riches

As some of you know, I took a couple days off last week to attend the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, and it more than lived up to its billing. The food, the friendly crowds and the music -- the music was everywhere. Gospel, jazz, blues, zydeco, country, soul, roots rock, Cajun -- it was awesome.

Unfortunately, with 12 different stages featuring an ever-rotating list of bands, you can’t see everything. For example, I did not hear -- and previously had not heard of -- a duo calling themselves “War and Treaty,” but my brother did and after his rave I went and looked them up.

All I can say is that I’m sorry I missed them live, and won’t do it again if I have a chance. Here they are, and have a great weekend:
