An open thread with an open wound

This weekend, I join my fellow Georgia fans in mourning the loss, for now , of Todd Gurley in the red and black. I have my opinions about his case, and similar cases of other players at other schools, but I will withhold them until we have more facts. Until then, in case we don't get to see him wearing those silver britches again, I give you this:

I'm not old enough to remember watching Lars Tate, Rodney Hampton, Tm Worley or Herschel when they played in Athens. But of all the Georgia running backs I've seen, Gurley is the best. I really hope I don't have to change that to "was the best" before the season's even over.
