Georgia Restaurant Association: $10.10 minimum wage would cost 21,000 jobs

The Georgia Restaurant Association is out with a study that says hiking Georgia’s minimum wage from the current $7.25 to $10.10 an hour would cost more than 21,000 jobs statewide.

Additionally, 60,000 public workers could fall under the minimum wage requirement, mandating an additional $164 million in spending annually by state and local governments.

The GRA represents 16,000 eateries and watering holes around the state, which in turn employ 405,800 people.
