U.S. Rep. Tom Price is chairman of the House Budget Committee, but is term-limited in that position and will soon be deprived of that clout.
So we’ve heard the same rumblings you probably have – that the Roswell Republican is kicking the tires on a 2018 race for governor.
We now have a little bit more evidence on that score. One week ago, a new independent committee popped up in Georgia: the Promoting Republican Ideals and Conservative Ethics PAC. (Though technically, it's not a political action committee.)
Which just happens to have a nifty acronym: P.R.I.C.E.
The chair is listed as Diana Kincaid of the local firm Capitol Strategy, who’s web resume includes these lines:
Kincaid oversees the fundraising department of the firm, works with Congressman Tom Price, Congressman Austin Scott, and frequently serves as a consultant on fundraising projects for elected officials, candidates, PACs and organizations seeking to raise funds in Georgia and other states in the southeast.
