Pro-Jack Kingston Super PAC hits Perdue on taxes

Businessman David Perdue's campaign hinges on his appeal as an outsider. A new wave of attack ads from Jack Kingston's supporters, though, pitches him as the "outsider who would raise our taxes."

The Southern Conservatives Fund, a group set up by David Dove, has already shelled out nearly $200,000 on ads targeting Perdue ahead of the July 22 runoff.

The ad, which you'll see above, is the latest attack to dredge up Perdue's frank comments last month on the "reality" of raising federal revenue.

The ramp-up comes in the wake of this weekend's AJC report that Kingston's top contributors come from two firms linked to a felon the federal government has long tried to deport. Perdue's camp said the investigation was evidence that Kingston was an out-of-touch politician who has "lost perspective on what is normal."
